Simplify & Organize Your Work Space
If Any of the Following Apply:
1. You're known around the office as the scatter-brained genius, because they can't see you over the piles on
your desk and out the door!
2. Your dining room doubles as your home office and the paper clips, stapler and three-hole punch are now
your dining utensils...
3. No one can enter your cubicle, because the floor has become your filing cabinet, and post-its abound...
4. You were late for at least one meeting, because you couldn't find the documents needed... or you lost your
calendar!
Then You Are In Serious Need of Simplification and Organization!
Here is a list of things to consider for your office simplification:
1. What type of filing system works best for you?
- Binder System, Color Coding File System, Index Cards, or other?
2. Is the furniture in your space adequate to achieve the organization you desire? (If you are questioning
this, your answer is probably no, or at the very least, your space could use a few key items).
3. Are there items you rarely use (tax items, etc... that are annual, or bi-annual), which can be stored?
4. Are you making the best use of the space you have, utilizing empty drawers or shelves to their highest
potential?
REMEMBER: An
organized, streamlined and clean office is not difficult to
obtain, and once a system is in place, is not too tough to
maintain. Also, a clean looking office is a welcome
environment, and encourages productivity!
